Capturing the Rich Culture of Italy

In the Italian language, Casa Belvedere means “house with a beautiful view” and nowhere is this more evident than at 79 Howard Avenue in Staten Island. With its lavish grounds and rich history, Casa Belvedere, a New York City historic landmark, sits on nearly three acres atop Grymes Hill and boasts a spectacular view of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and the New York City Harbor.

In November 2008, Staten Island residents Gina Biancardi-Rammairone and Luciano Rammairone purchased the mansion with dreams of restoring it to its original splendor while converting it to an arts and cultural center for the community to enjoy.

Through innovative programs, exhibits, and events, the Foundation seeks to preserve and promote an appreciation of Italian language, arts, literature, history, fashion, cuisine, and commerce while also celebrating the Italian heritage and the contributions of Italians and Italian-Americans to the fabric of the United States.

You are encouraged to subscribe to our mailing list so that we can keep you updated as to upcoming events and programs. We look forward to welcoming you to Casa Belvedere, a home where the culture and the traditions of Italy can be truly experienced and enjoyed.
